Bisano is a Medieval village which was the residence of a podesta in old times.
This area has very old buildings which testify of its ancient history; such as the oratory dedicated to the saints Sebastiano and Rocco, built in 1510, and the house named 'Cella', which belonged to the nobleman Giacomo di Gottifredo during the XV century and that still preserves its original features (an inner courtyard with walls, columns, friezes and sculptural ornaments).
Other interesting historical buildings of the area are: the house-tower in Rio (with a XIII century doorway), the XIV century building in Lavacchiello, the La Guarda buildings (XII-XIV century, with a XVI century tower bearing the coat of arms of the counts of Loiano), the country villa Ca' di Buganè (with a XV century doorway).
