Bibulano is a small village located on the hills (508mt) on the right bank of the Savena river. It is part of the municipality of Loiano; the road which connects Bibulano and Loiano runs along the river and has beautiful sights.
The name of the village has Roman origin and these lands have a very ancient history. Bibulano's community and church were first mentioned in a document in 1223. The present parish church is dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and is a XVIII-XIX century building whose architectural features are not typical of this area; the church houses a beautiful wooden crucifix made by Girolamo Gessi.
In this area there are some historical tiny villages and typical buildings, such as Bibulano Borgo and Cà Righi; Ca' Taddeo is a very interesting rural villa with a fired brick pigeon-house in the shape of a rose window. -
