Getting here: From Bologna follow the main roads S.S. 569 - S.P. 27 (Muffa - Monteveglio - Savigno).  Easy to reach with private and public transports (bus and taxi). Car parks available at the entrance of the town and in the town centre.

Savigno is located in the western Bolognese Apennines, and is partly in the valley of the Samoggia river; its territory lies on the border with the province of Modena and includes the first part of the Venola river.
Savigno is the main town of the area and hosts the town hall. The main square of Savigno is very lively and is the heart of the town's economy and entertainment

Savigno has a long tradition of fairs and traditional feasts which celebrate horses, typical products and truffles. There is a very interesting Sunday antique market.
Worthy of mention are the oratory dedicated to S. Matteo, which was built in 1863, and the monument celebrating the 1843 Carbonari uprisings, which was made by the artist Tullio Golfarelli.
The territory of Savigno is particularly famous for white truffles, which are very precious and delicious. In autumn the white truffle becomes the protagonist of the local traditional gastronomy.
