  Livergnano's place name comes from the name of a Roman estate which was founded here during the colonization of the valley of the Savena river.
  This village has a series of very peculiar houses which are partly set into the rocks.
  In the past, Livergnano has always been a place of exchange between the high and low Apennines. During the second World War the area was crossed by the Gothic line and harsh battles took place in this territory.
  2km from Livergnano can be seen Ca' di Bortignano, a rural building with a XIII century tower, which was originally a fortress and a hermitage.
