  Maenzano boasts antique origins:  in the degree of king  longobardo Astolfo of 753, among the towns belonging to "Masa Lizano", there is a certain  "Rivo Frigido" (Rio Freddo) identified by many as the actual  Maenzano.
  The Oratory, which belongs to the  pieve di Lizzano, came about thanks to  Don Carlo Tonielli as written in his holographic will of 1900.  The project was presented on 15 August 1904, but the Oratory was only inaugurated in 1919.
