This small early XVI century oratory is part of the parish of S. Maria Maddalena.
Today the oratory is named after S. Rocco, but when it was built, about five centuries ago, it was dedicated to the SS. Sacramento; the homonymous brotherhood was established around the same time. At the beginning the oratory was just a small room located above the parsonage; then it was embellished with an altar. The new oratory was built towards the end of the XVI century, when the new parsonage was also rebuilt. Its history is closely related to that of the brotherhood, which represented the core of local religious life, together with that of S. Francesco. Toward the end of the XVII century the old parish church was demolished and then a new one was rebuilt; this affected the oratory, which ended up being lower than the church. Since then, both buildings have not changed substantially. The oratory features an important organ and an altarpiece depicting Christ, Maddalena and the Saints Carlo and Rocco. Brotherhoods were abolished at the end of the XVIII century, but the oratory continued to hold its function next to the parish.
