  Getting here: About 1km after Lizzano turn right for Pianaccio, then drive for about 1km and then turn left for Porchia.
  
  
  Iron forge of Porchia
  The forge is one of the oldest in the province; it was established in 1826 and it is housed in the same building of the mill. It operated with coal, which was stored in specific deposits nearby. Originally it was owned by Succi business company, who later sold it to the Petroni family; the latter still owns the documents related to the purchase of the forge as well as other documents related to the duties carried out by the grand-grand father while running the forge.
