Vergato
-
Vergato is a very old town, of which the first documents date back to the XII century, at the time when it was under the jurisdiction of Liserna, a mountain village on the Monte Pero. Vergato is in the valley which connects Bologna to Pistoia; in the past it was in a strategic position for trade and commerce amongst the inhabitants of the area, and this largely encouraged businesses, notaries and inns.
