Gaggio Montano

  • Gaggio Montano In 1866 Gaggio Montano was declared chief town of a district including the small villages of Bombiana, Pietracolora, Santa Maria Villiana, Rocca Pitigliana, Affrico, Marano and Silla. Gaggio Montano lies between the valley of the river Silla and the high valley of the river Reno; these hills afford one of the most beautiful views of the surrounding Bolognese Apennines which run from the Cupolino mountains to the ski resort of Corno alle Scale. The landscape visible from Gaggio Montano makes it a worthwhile touristic area.
