  During World War II the village was harshly hit by bombs so the church of Santa Maria Assunta had to be rebuilt.
  After being destroyed by World War II bombings, the church was rebuilt in the ‘50s. It was rebuilt according to the original structure with a nave on each side of the main aisle.
