  Getting here: While driving towards Vidiciatico, just outside the village take the road on the right, with the sign Pozzo-Sasso, then drive for about 1.5km until the cross for Villaggio Europa.
  
  The XV century tower lies in the small village of Sasso, not far from Lizzano. In the past it housed the headquarters of the county established in 1517 by Pope Leo X for Galeazzo Castelli. It was part of a Medieval defensive system including the castle of Monte Belvedere and the fortresses of Monteacuto, Vidiciatico and Grecchia.
